They are proving to me that no cold of darkness will hold them back from having some fun! Kids from all over the neighborhood were having fun sledding, no matter how much snow was falling down today. I went out to play for a little bit but did not have all the warm clothes my kids did, so was not able to stay out as long! Mac used a snow blower for the first time today to clear our driveway.
Tomorrow we are going to go cut down our own Christmas tree. We have our permit and have picked out our spot! Even though the sun doesn't rise here till about 9:40 am and it is average temps around 25 degrees, we are enjoying our time and all the new firsts in our new Alaska home! We are adapting to our new environment as we are figuring out this new Alaskan life.
Even though we could see our daughter from our back window we were able to keep in contact with her, with her new Alaskan cell phone.
