How true the above statement really is. This whole journey that we have been on, has been quite a journey. I think that there has been times during this process, I have doubted, not quite sure why God wanted me to share our personal story with so many. And then I am reminded that only he sees the entire picture, to be reminded that he knows what I need and he will be there to meet my needs, whatever they may be (Phil 4:19).
I am so grateful for everyone's positive feedback and love hearing other's stories, and how our story has affected them and given hope. We can only pray that God will continue to use our story to let others know that there is a joyful life to live after loss, pain and struggle. That God's peace will transcend over all (Phil 4:7).
There are so many things that can rob us of our joys' in life; distractions, busyness, negativity, fear. When the focus is on the very things that rob us of our joy, it can seem overwhelming and difficult to see or hear what God is calling us to do. We are all called to do something, whether it is writing a book, calling a friend in need, or just listening, we are being called. When the noise in life seems to be getting out of hand, Stop, Pray, and Listen so you can hear what he is saying. Pray for perseverance and wisdom to stay focused on what God has called you to do.
Are there things that rob you of your joy on a daily, weekly, monthly basis? If so identify them.
And then ask yourself, Why allow these joy robbers to steal your joy?
Praying that we all can experience exuberant joy this week even in all of life's messiness.
